Ouch!
Saturday, August 1st, Joshua had just climbed into bed when I heard a big thump and then the cry you hear when you know something is very wrong with your child. I ran into his room and found him on the floor with blood everywhere. I won't go into too much detail for those of you with a weak stomach. Just know that it was bad. As soon as Noah and Scott saw him they started screaming and crying too. Joshua had fallen out of his bed that is not quite as high as a bunk, but not as low as a regular bed. He hit his head on Noah's chest of drawers under his own bed. Steve was working at the ER in Stockton (1 1/2 hours away), so I was alone. I had Scott call our friend Mary who brought her friend Amanda. They saved the day. Amanda took care of Scott and Noah while Mary drove us to the Kaiser ER in Roseville. Yeah. That's about 30 minutes away. Kaiser doesn't have an emergency room in Folsom. Sucks. Anyway, after a few very brave hours on Joshua's part he came home with stitches and headed straight to bed. It was a very long night for me because I had to wake him every 2 hours to make sure he was okay because he'd hit his head. I'm just super grateful it wasn't worse. He got the stitches out four days later on his birthday.

Yikes! I'm not sure how I'd handle that if there was blood everywhere! I remember being pretty scared when Hunter was a baby and had a fork dropped on his forehead! Lots of blood, but not as drastic as your adventure. Glad Joshua's okay though!
