This week's race went much better than last week's race. It was a tough one. I was neck and neck with this girl I've been trying to beat for weeks. It was literally a race to the finish. We had a good laugh about it after the race was over. I finally got past 4th place and took 3rd.
I have to say, though, that I raced my little heart out for my little sister. My thoughts and prayers were with her all day and during the race. She had surgery that day to try to remove the cancer in her neck. She has parathyroid cancer (extremely rare). If you happen to be reading this, please say a little prayer for my sister and her family. Thanks.
