Steve's First Half-Marathon

Steve was challenged by our brother-in-law, Rick, to run in the Parkway Half-Marathon on May 2nd. He took the challenge and did great. He finished strong and was happy with how he did. Rick was freakishly fast. We'll have to work on our speed if we are going to beat him in the triathlon this summer. This picture is before the race started. The two on the right are Rick's training buddies.

Nervous?

Waiting for the race to start.

Giving Steve a good luck squeeze.

Ready or not, here I come!

Aunt Anne and girls, Grandpa Peres, and I hung out in the rain watching the boys participate in all of the activities they had for kids there while we waited for the runners to finish.

Rick finishes strong!

Daddy, where are you?

There he is! Good job, Daddy!

He even won a medal.
