My Husband, the Bike Commuter
Since Steve started his new job in February at the pain clinic in Sacramento his dream has come true. He grew up in Sacramento riding the beautiful American River Bike Trail and has always wanted to commute to work on it. Well, now he has joined the many, many bike commuters out there, rain or shine. Few, however, commute as far as he does. It's about 25-30 miles one way, so he gets 50-60 miles a day. Since we're training for a triathlon he's only doing it once or twice a week so he can focus on running and swimming too. I was fortunate enough to join him on the way home one evening just after the new Folsom Lake Crossing Bridge was finished. Steve was very excited about his maiden voyage over this bridge. It has added many more possible miles for him to go. What a stud!
