We've been getting together with the Turner family (no relation) weekly for sign language lessons. Their oldest daughter is deaf and we took the opportunity to help them learn sign and help our kids brush up on what we've been neglecting. I decided it would be fun to go to the Folsom City Zoo to see the animals AND learn the signs for the animals. That's exactly what we did. It was lots of fun!

Scott and Noah checked out the miniature train.
The kids all chose their favorite animal sign and did it for the picture.
Incidentally, the Folsom City Zoo reminded me a lot of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab. They take in animals from the wild and nurse them back to health. Pretty neat, I must say.
